Report of the LEN Communications Committee.

Two members of the Committee were present at the meeting held Oct 1: Tim Seims and Carol Reese. They will develop an article describing LEN's accomplishments for the Messenger, which if appropriate might be included in the publicity for the LEN gathering on Oct 24.

No funds will be required. The deadline is Oct. 12 for publishing in the Morgan Messenger in time for the event.

Details re: Goals:

Distribution of Rackcards:

Printed rack cards in time for Morgan County Fair. Hundreds more need distribution and they will be handed out at the next general LEN meeting.

Article on the School GreenHouse:

(Carol Reese will consult for the Comm/Comm on an Article emphasizing the networking aspect regarding the school greenhouse.

Article on the Garden Buddies Program:

Evaluating Garden Buddies program (Elise) to be written by Elise in a form suitable for publication by October.

Website Promotion:

Blogging software. We postponed the decision on setting up a blog due to unresolved control issues.

The issues of an E-newsletter and the overall objective to increase website traffic/use were tabled for another meeting.

Others:

Other goals in the previous list were dropped because we didn’t understand them, or they were activities yet to be developed and not needing publicity at this time.
